Our team members dedicate themselves to providing your children with not only comprehensive dental care but also dental education to help them develop good oral hygiene habits.
Our friendly team will get to know your child and strive to put them at ease. We familiarise your child with the new dental environment and ensure they are comfortable acclimatising to us all. Your dentist will inspect your child’s mouth. If your child is older than 2 years of age, we recommend they receive fluoride applications and x-rays, if required, in addition to the general examination.
You should bring your baby in as soon as their first tooth erupts, but no later than 1 year old. Regular visits starting at a young age will help them get used to the dental environment, and also give your dentist an excellent baseline to identify and treat any problems early on.
Our professional dental team have years of experience helping nervous patients of all ages overcome anxiety. We will work with you and your child to put them at ease and make them feel comfortable in their new surrounds. We explain exactly what will happen and how they needn’t be afraid before attempting any assessment.
We treat each child as an individual and, for school-age children, we encourage independence by leading them by themselves from the waiting room to the examination room.
Try to make brushing as routine as possible. For example, have them brush their teeth in the mornings before school and at night before bedtime. For school-age children, teach them the importance of spitting out the toothpaste, not rinsing, and how to brush behind their teeth and along the gum lines.
